Production Manager
to join our Technical Production team and play a key role in delivering exceptional live events and exhibition experiences around the world.

As a Technical Production Manager
, you will be responsible for leading or supporting the technical delivery of live events, conferences, exhibitions and experiential projects across our global client portfolio.

You'll work closely with Creative, Project Management and Production teams to translate creative concepts into technically achievable solutions, ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, on budget and to the highest possible standard.

From detailed pre-production planning and supplier management through to onsite technical leadership, you'll be a trusted technical expert who thrives on problem-solving, collaboration and delivering exceptional event experiences.

What you'll be doing
Technical Production Leadership


Provide technical production expertise across a variety of live events, conferences and exhibitions



Interpret project briefs and develop detailed technical production plans and delivery strategies



Collaborate with creative and project teams to ensure concepts are delivered effectively within budget parameters



Lead production schedules, technical planning and resource allocation across multiple projects



Work directly with producers, designers and project teams to identify practical and innovative delivery solutions

Supplier & Crew Management


Manage technical suppliers, freelancers and production partners throughout the project lifecycle



Source and secure appropriate equipment, materials and specialist resources



Lead supplier negotiations and procurement processes to achieve the best value for clients



Prepare, review and assess supplier RFPs and quotations


Maintain and develop a strong network of trusted suppliers and technical crew

Onsite Delivery


Lead technical delivery onsite, including build-up, live show operations and breakdown



Manage onsite personnel, suppliers and technical teams to ensure flawless execution



Conduct site visits, venue inspections and client walkthroughs


Monitor the installation of staging, scenic and technical elements to ensure quality and safety standards are met



Troubleshoot challenges and implement solutions in fast-paced live environments

Financial & Operational Management


Support budget development and financial management across technical production workstreams



Ensure projects remain commercially viable while maintaining delivery excellence



Manage supplier contracts and monitor project costs


Contribute to client proposals, pitches and technical recommendations


Collaborate with the Head of Technical Production to continually improve processes, systems and ways of working

Compliance & Best Practice


Ensure all technical delivery complies with health and safety, fire and regulatory requirements



Maintain awareness of customs regulations relating to international transportation of technical equipment and materials



Champion quality standards across all projects and onsite environments



Promote best practice and continuous improvement across the wider team

What you will bring


Significant experience delivering technical production for live events, conferences, exhibitions or experiential projects



Strong understanding of event technology, AV, staging, scenic builds and production disciplines

What you'll be doing
As a Senior Event Producer, you'll lead the development and delivery of complex live, hybrid and virtual events from concept through to onsite execution. Working alongside clients, creative teams, production specialists and suppliers, you'll transform briefs into memorable experiences that exceed expectations.

Key responsibilities include:
Creative Event Leadership


Lead the creative development and production of large-scale live, hybrid and virtual events.



Translate client objectives into engaging event concepts, content strategies and attendee experiences.



Develop production briefs and collaborate with Creative, Content and Technical Production teams.



Research innovative ideas, speakers, entertainment and experiential elements that elevate each event.



Contribute creative thinking to client pitches and proposals.

Project Delivery


Lead complex event projects from initial briefing through to final delivery.



Manage timelines, project documentation, budgets and delivery plans.



Partner closely with Account Directors, Project Directors and Executive Producers.

Content & Experience Design

About The Role

This role will be predominantly focused on Technical Production, whether for stand-alone production projects, or as part of a larger project in which we are collaborating with other service lines from The Collective by BCD M&E. You will be responsible for the technical delivery of projects across a number of different formats including but not limited to: live, virtual and hybrid. Events will be delivered across all regions, while ranging in size, complexity and budget.

As a Production Manager, You Will

  • Be a representative of the Technical Production department across projects and key client accounts.
  • Work in all phases of a project life cycle, from pitch to delivery.
  • Attend client briefings, project kick-off meetings, and project debriefs.
  • Overall responsibility for the technical production delivery on virtual, hybrid and in-person events ranging in size and budget.
  • Being confident and able to lead multiple projects at any one time, by prioritising your own and team workloads.
  • Maintain clear communications throughout the lifecycle of the project to ensure outstanding customer service and adding value by making recommendations and providing solutions.
  • Develop a rapport with technical equipment, scenic and exhibition suppliers both in the UK and overseas to gain the best possible service and rates and manage any issues as required.
  • Collaborate on reviewing supplier contracts, ensuring you have challenged T’s & C’s and negotiated the best solutions and price.
  • Work with the Head of Technical Production on the technical and scenic sections of budgets, ensuring accuracy.

You’re Good At

  • Work with the Head of Technical Production on final reconciliations, ensuring to deliver G.P targets as set by the leadership team.
  • Support to drive the profitability, growth and activity of client accounts.
  • Support in client pitches and presentations ,offering technical solutions.
  • Demonstrate highest standards of integrity, sound judgement and excellent communication.
  • Be an excellent team player – establish and promote collaborative, positive and effective working relationships across teams.

The Events & Marketing team at Label Gang is responsible for promoting the company's travel experiences, tours, events and entertainment activities while growing the Label Gang brand within the UK market. The Event and Marketing Manager will manage Label Gang's events and marketing activities across its travel, tourism and entertainment operations.

The role will involve managing events and group trips, managing event administration, managing marketing campaigns, managing promotional activities and helping to grow customer engagement and sales. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Events Management
- Manage pre-event, on-the-day and post-event activities for Label Gang tours, day trips, group travel and events.
- Manage planning and delivery of travel events, community events, entertainment activities, promotional events and small-scale corporate or private events.
- Manage event schedules, venues, suppliers, transport providers, catering, entertainment and other third-party services.
- Manage event timelines, checklists, budgets and operational requirements.
- Manage events and activities for groups of varying sizes, including smaller events of up to approximately 100 attendees as well as larger group trips and events.
- Manage customer and delegate registration, bookings, invitations, RSVPs and attendance records.
- Liaise with venues, hotels, restaurants, attractions and other suppliers.
- Manage event setup, branding, signage, promotional materials and on-site requirements.
- Manage event staff and management during events and resolve operational issues where required.
- Collect customer feedback and manage post-event evaluation and reporting.
