3D Experiential Designer UK based – Exhibitions & Events
This Is All About YOU.
You love bringing ideas to life.

You’re curious about what’s next, passionate about design and excited by the challenge of turning a great creative idea into a real-world experience. You want to work somewhere you can test your mettle, learn from brilliant people and add your own creative DNA to the work.

You’ll partner with Creative Directors, designers, producers and global creative teams to create immersive, engaging experiences for some of the world’s biggest brands. You’ll take an idea and make it real — exploring space, materials, light, technology and storytelling to create environments that people want to step into and experience.

You’re a 3D experiential designer with restless curiosity and infectious enthusiasm for our industry. You care about the detail, but you also understand the bigger picture. You know that the best work happens when great people collaborate.

If that sounds like you, then we think you’ll get us.

Who are we?

We’re Spiro — a global brand experience company creating experiences that connect people with brands.

We work across exhibitions, conferences, live events, brand activations and digital experiences, bringing together strategy, creative, design, technology and production to create experiences that defy gravity.

Our creative teams work collaboratively across disciplines and geographies, bringing different perspectives together to create work that has purpose and impact.

We’re ambitious about the work we create, but we’re equally interested in the people creating it. We want people who bring ideas, ask questions, share knowledge and make the people around them better.

What You'll Be Doing

• Working in partnership with Creative Directors and senior creative teams to develop experiential solutions that are ambitious, distinctive and practical.
• Creating environmental and spatial design concepts for corporate events, brand activations, conferences, exhibitions and trade shows.
• Taking creative ideas and developing them into compelling 3D environments that work for both the audience and the client.
• Creating detailed 3D visualisations including floor plans, conceptual renders, elevations, perspectives, fixtures and architectural details.
• Exploring how space, materials, lighting, graphics, technology and storytelling can work together to create an engaging brand experience.
• Working closely with experiential teams, producers, engineers, fabricators and specialist partners to bring ideas to life.
• Developing design solutions that respect client brand guidelines while still finding opportunities to push the creative further.
• Contributing to presentations and helping communicate the thinking behind your designs in a way that gets clients excited.
• Identifying potential design, technical and delivery challenges early and working collaboratively to find the right solutions.
• Contributing creatively throughout the project — from the initial idea through to fabrication and delivery.

What you'll bring

• 4–6+ years’ experience within the exhibition, events or experiential industry, with a background in environmental, spatial, brand or experiential design.
• A strong portfolio demonstrating 3D experiential, spatial or environmental design.
• An obsession with the latest trends in design, culture, technology and innovation — and a curiosity about where the industry is heading next.
• A passion for finding the right balance of materials, space, light and technology to create innovative and inviting environments.
• Experience across the design process, from developing initial creative ideas through to working with engineers, producers and fabricators to make them real.
• The ability to collaborate across disciplines and develop presentation and executional drawings including floor plans, perspectives, elevations, 3D fixtures and visualisations.
• A good understanding of technology integration and experience collaborating with technology partners.
• Strong knowledge of materials, finishes, graphic applications and fabrication methods used within experiential environments.
• Convincing presentation skills and the confidence to articulate your creative thinking and explain why a design works.
• A keen understanding of project flow, with the ability to spot challenges and help find practical paths to resolution.
• Strong visualisation skills, including hand sketching, Illustrator and Photoshop.
• Expert knowledge of 3ds Max with V-Ray, or comparable industry-standard 3D software.
• A naturally collaborative approach and the ability to work effectively with creative, production and client teams.
• The ability to balance creative ambition with budgets, deadlines and the practical realities of delivering live experiences.

And importantly...

We’re not looking for someone who simply ticks every box.

If you have a brilliant portfolio, a slightly different creative background or a particular perspective that you think could make our work stronger, we’d still like to hear from you.

What matters is your design thinking, your technical ability, your curiosity and your ambition to create experiences that people remember.

However, experience within the exhibition, events or experiential industry is essential for this role.

This position is based in the UK, so you must be currently living in the UK and have the existing right to work in the UK.
