Core Services Delivery Manager

About Bryght
Bryght is an event equipment hire and production company providing LED screens, AV equipment, staging, furniture and immersive experiences for exhibitions, conferences, brand activations and live events across the UK.
We operate in a fast-moving industry where plans can change quickly, last-minute orders are common and delivering the right equipment to the right place at the right time is critical.
We are looking for a practical, highly organised Transport & Operations Manager to take control of our daily logistics, transport planning and operational coordination.
The role
This is a hands-on management position suited to someone who enjoys solving problems, organising people and keeping a busy operation moving.
You will coordinate our vehicles, drivers, technicians, warehouse teams and event schedules, ensuring every job is properly planned, resourced and delivered efficiently.
You will need to balance customer requirements with staffing, vehicle availability, working hours and commercial reality. This is not purely a desk-based role: you will be expected to remain close to the operation, support the team and step in when needed.
Key responsibilities
• Plan and coordinate daily deliveries, collections, installations and derigs.
• Allocate suitable vehicles, drivers and crew to each job.
• Create efficient transport routes and minimise unnecessary mileage, vehicle use and labour costs.
• Review upcoming jobs and identify staffing, vehicle, equipment or timing issues in advance.
• Produce clear daily and weekly operational schedules.
• Coordinate closely with the sales, warehouse and technical teams.
• Ensure crews receive accurate job information, timings, access details and customer requirements.
• Manage last-minute changes, urgent bookings, delays and operational problems calmly.
• Monitor drivers’ hours, working time and team workloads.
• Oversee vehicle checks, servicing, repairs, cleanliness and general fleet readiness.
• Maintain accurate records relating to vehicles, drivers, incidents and compliance.
• Arrange hired vehicles and external transport when required.
• Ensure loads are planned safely and vehicles are not overloaded.
• Help improve loading, checking, dispatch and return processes.
• Support the warehouse team in ensuring orders are prepared correctly and on time.
• Monitor operational costs, including vehicle hire, fuel, labour, accommodation and subcontract transport.
• Investigate mistakes, delays, damages and failed deliveries, then introduce practical improvements.
• Help develop more efficient systems and processes as the company grows.
• Maintain high standards of health and safety across transport and operational activities.
• Lead the operational team with clear expectations, accountability and a positive attitude.
About you
We are looking for someone who is:
- Highly organised and able to manage several jobs at once.
- Confident making decisions in a busy, time-sensitive environment.
- Commercially aware and understands that operational decisions affect job profitability.
- Calm and solutions-focused when plans change.
- Comfortable managing drivers, technicians and warehouse staff.
- Clear and confident when communicating with employees, suppliers and customers.
- Willing to be hands-on and support the operation when required.
- Able to challenge inefficient practices and hold people accountable.
- Comfortable using scheduling, fleet management or hire management software.
- Reliable, flexible and able to take ownership of the operation.
Experience required
• Previous experience in transport planning, logistics, fleet coordination or operations management.
• Experience managing vehicles, drivers and operational schedules.
• Experience leading or supervising an operational team.
• Good understanding of vehicle safety, load planning and transport compliance.
• Strong IT and administrative skills.
• Full UK driving licence.
Desirable experience
• Experience within events, AV hire, equipment hire, exhibitions, live production or a similarly reactive industry.
• Experience coordinating deliveries and collections at major UK event venues.
• Knowledge of drivers’ hours, working time rules and operator compliance.
• Transport Manager CPC qualification.
• Experience using Current RMS or similar hire-management software.
• Experience managing hired vehicles and subcontract transport providers.
Events experience would be a strong advantage, but we will also consider candidates from equipment hire, construction logistics, removals, distribution or other fast-paced transport operations.
Working pattern
This is a full-time position based at our Telford operation.
Our work takes place across the UK and includes early starts, late finishes and weekend activity. The Transport & Operations Manager will need to provide flexibility around particularly busy periods and important projects. However, the role is primarily focused on planning and managing the operation rather than routinely attending every event.
Why join Bryght?
This is an opportunity to take ownership of a busy and varied operation within the events industry. You will have the freedom to improve processes, reduce unnecessary costs and build a more organised, reliable and efficient transport operation.
The role would suit someone who enjoys responsibility, variety and seeing the direct results of their decisions.

Reporting to: Head of Operations
Tecna designs and delivers exhibition stands, brand activations and event environments for clients across the UK and Europe. As our business continues to grow, we’re looking for an experienced Production Manager to lead our production team at our Farnborough headquarters.
This is a genuine split role: roughly half management and half hands-on production. You'll lead our production team at our Farnborough headquarters while contributing directly to builds alongside an experienced and highly skilled team.
We have strong craft at the heart of our production operation. What we are looking to add is the layer around it: structured scheduling, effective workflow management, and a broader materials skill set. You will own the planning and people management, drive continuous improvement, and bring the knowledge and confidence to support the selection of the right materials and methods for each situation, rather than defaulting to the familiar.
We're looking for someone who is on trend with the industry, curious about new materials and methods, and ready to help us explore what's possible.
Responsibilities
- Lead and develop the production team day-to-day, allocating work, setting priorities, running 1-to-1s and performance reviews, and building a culture of quality and craft.
- Own production scheduling and workflow planning, working closely with the Head of Operations, Install Manager and Projects team to ensure everything is built, finished and dispatched on time.
- Get hands-on in production, contributing directly to the fabrication, finishing and assembly of exhibition components alongside the team.
- Challenge conventional materials and construction methods. If something needs to look like wood but doesn't need to be wood, we want you to know the alternatives and be confident proposing them.
- Identify and trial new substrates, finishes, fabrication techniques and production methods that keep Tecna's offering modern, efficient and competitive.
- Manage stock, materials and supplier relationships, maintaining availability, controlling costs and building strong partnerships with specialist suppliers.
- Covered within bullet 1 above.
- Drive continuous improvement across processes, equipment, factory layout and workflow to increase efficiency, quality and productivity.
- Maintain a safe, organised and well-run production environment with high standards of housekeeping and compliance.
What We Are Looking For
- An instinctive understanding of exhibition build standards. You know that a stand will be judged at arm's length on a busy show floor, not under a microscope, and you make confident production decisions that deliver the right result without over-investing effort where it will have negligible impact.
- A background in exhibition, events, theatre, film/TV production, props, scenic construction or a related industry where bespoke, visual environments are the end product.
- Experience leading a production or fabrication team, planning workloads, managing people and meeting tight deadlines.
- Materials-agnostic thinking: you're as comfortable with foam, GRP, acrylic, fabric structures or printed substrates as you are with timber, and you know when to reach for which.
- Awareness of current trends in experiential and exhibition design. You follow the industry, you know what good looks like, and you have opinions about where things are heading.
- Strong organisational and planning skills with the confidence to own a production schedule and hold a team to it.
- Good IT skills and comfort using business systems for scheduling, stock management and reporting.
- A practical, hands-on approach combined with the ability to step back and improve the systems and processes around you.
Nice to Have
- Experience with CNC routing, print, finishing or graphics application.
- Familiarity with modular exhibition systems (aluminium framing, tension fabric, similar).
- Experience in scenic construction, props-making or set building for film, TV or theatre.
- Working knowledge of lighting and AV integration within exhibition or event environments.
Benefits
Annual bonus based on company performance
25 days’ annual leave plus bank holidays
Private healthcare
Paid volunteering days
